Greg Carlson, a Southern California native (Redlands, California), has lived in Las Vegas, Nevada since 2008. Although his original plan was to practice law, he has spent the last three and a half years building and operating a family-owned chain of Mexican restaurants (Frijoles & Frescas) in Las Vegas. Having spent about seven years making videos on YouTube as a hobby, Greg has been interviewed and featured on CNN, Telemundo, local news stations — and even on Japanese TV — as the result of some of his most popular videos. More recently, Greg has put his YouTube channel on hold to focus on expanding the restaurant chain and to give him time to blog on gospel topics (CarlsonColumn.com), which he started in January 2018.

Greg is a lawyer and former C.P.A., having received Bachelor (magna cum laude) and Master degrees in Accounting from Brigham Young University (2005), and having received his Juris Doctor (cum laude) from the University of California Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco (2008).

Greg presently serves as a high councilor assigned to missionary work and the Spanish ward in the Redrock Stake in Las Vegas, Nevada. Greg has been married to his wife, Natalie, for 15 years, and they are the parents of a son (8), who makes sure there is plenty of laughter in the home. Greg enjoys playing tennis, taking trips with his family and coaching his son’s baseball and flag football teams.
